So when was the last time you got tested for HIV? CARES, Planned Parenthood of South Central Michigan and Ministry with Community are working together to have as many individuals get tested for HIV on June 30th, 2009.

Did you know that over one million Americans are living with HIV and about a quarter do not that they are infected?

Early detection will lead to early medical intervention, thereby extending the life of those who are living with HIV. Knowing your HIV status will prevent transmitting the virus unknowingly to your sexual partners and to your loved ones. CDC research shows that a majority of sexually transmitted HIV infections are passed by individuals who do not their status.

We encourage you to get tested at the following locations on June 30th, 2009 1-4 pm.

  • CARES-629 Pioneer St. Kalamazoo, MI
  • Planned Parenthood Kalamazoo-4201 W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo, MI
  • Planned Parenthood Battle Creek-2855 Capital Ave. SW, Battle Creek, MI
  • Ministry with Community-440 North Church St., Kalamazoo, MI
